Arcadia is a booming neighborhood which is located within the boundaries of central Phoenix and south Scottsdale and is known for ranch style homes on large landscaped lots. The original area began in 1920s with citrus groves and resulted in well irrigated mature landscaped yards with citrus trees and trees lined streets which are a hallmark of Arcadia. The Arcadia boom began in the mid 1950is and the residential area exploded with large ranch style homes, custom estates and patio homes with a variety of architechture.
Camelback Mountain is a major hub for outdoor activity enthusiasts in Arcadia. Residents enjoy many bike and jogging paths throughout Arcadia and along the Arizona Canal. Golfers have easy access to the Phoenician Golf Course nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain. Shopping, culture and entertainment options are within close proximity to Arcadia. Old Town Scottsdale, the Biltmore Fashion Park and Scottsdale Fashion Square is just minutes away.
The Scottsdale School District serves Arcadia Proper which includies Hopi Elementary and Tavan Elementary, Ingleside Middle School and Arcadia High School. All are A rated public schools. Arcadia Proper also has several private and charter school options.
